New Direction for My Health Coaching Business

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven’t updated my blog in such a long time. I have been busy taking my health coaching business in a bit of a new direction. Over the last year and a half, I have spent more and more time and energy researching and reading up on all things related to female hormones during the menopause transition. I created a Hormones and Perimenopause two-part course that I have given locally to over 6 small groups of women (over 35 women in total) in various parts of their transition.

We discussed what is happening in the body hormonally during perimenopause (normally in your 40s) and what types of symptoms women may encounter. We then focused on what changes we can make to our lifestyle (including diet, exercise, stress management, and sleep) that can lessen the symptoms and make the transition easier. I also highlighted the positives of menopause (yes there are some). Finally, we talk a bit about hormone replacement therapy as well.
Knowing what is happening in the body and that much of it is normal and temporary helps us realize we are not going crazy. 😊 We also feel empowered knowing we have the power to improve how we feel going through the transition. Taking back the reins to our health allows us to get the most out of our post-menopausal years (30+ more years hopefully) and enjoy life to the fullest.
The feedback on my workshop series has been tremendous, and I hope to offer this course to others virtually and in person when I return to Northern Virginia this fall. I will also still continue to offer the Healthy Aging workshop series. Until then, stay moving, connecting, and eating your veggies!
